MYRTLE CREEK MAN JAILED AFTER ALLEGED DISTUBANCE

A Myrtle Creek man was jailed after an alleged disturbance on Thursday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at about 10:15 a.m. the 52-year old man was arrested after he allegedly got into a physical altercation with a juvenile known to him. The suspect reportedly slapped the victim and apparently hit them with a large stick.

The man was charged with a misdemeanor count of harassment and for menacing. He was detained without bail.
