A California man was jailed for alleged DUII and reckless driving by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Wednesday night.

A DCSO report said at 6:10 p.m. a deputy observed a vehicle being driven recklessly on Interstate 5 northbound in the Azalea area. The deputy contacted the 47-year old driver who was allegedly visibly intoxicated and admitted to drinking. A blood alcohol level of .14 was registered three hours after the initial arrest.

The driver was charged with DUII and reckless driving. Bail was set at $3,000.
