UVA SET TO UNVEIL 5 NEW EXHIBITS

In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:

Umpqua Valley Arts is set to unveil 5 new exhibits at the opening reception of “Natural Bonds” on Friday.

The reception will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Those attending can see the exhibits, enjoy small bites and sips, hear live music, staff remarks at 5:30 p.m. and more.

“Natural Bonds” is a collection of exhibits that showcase unique responses and perspectives to the shared experience of change.

The exhibits include:

*“In the Spirit of Nature” in the Hallie Brown Ford Gallery: It includes prints by Christine Harrison, paintings by Dennis Worrel and sculptures by Susan McMillan.

*”Seeing With Your Soul” in the Red Door Gallery. This is a solo exhibition of watercolor paintings by UVA Artist Member Judi Danielson.

*“On the Verge” in the Corridor Gallery. It’s a group exhibition of abstract works by Amanda Miller, Diane English and Janet Hiller.

*“If I Have to, I Can Do Anything” in Gallery II. A solo exhibition of mixed-media monotypes and image transfers by Julie Anderson Bailey.

*The Promise” in the Student Galley. A group exhibition of ceramics, fine arts, photography and graphic design by Roseburg High School students.
