Troopers with the Oregon State Police jailed a woman following incidents on Interstate 5 on Wednesday.

An OSP report said the woman had been released from a sobering center in Grants Pass and then allegedly stole a truck. Multiple callers said the suspect was driving recklessly while going northbound on the freeway. The truck crashed into barriers more than once and eventually rear ended a vehicle, about 4 miles south of the Glendale interchange.

She then allegedly lay down in the middle of the road before fleeing the scene. The suspect was located in Wolf Creek and was taken into custody without incident at about 11:50 a.m.

35-year old Jessica Knowlton was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle, failure to perform the duties of a driver in an accident with property damage, reckless driving, and for 2nd-degree disorderly conduct. Knowlton was detained without bail.
