Monday was almost the wettest March 13th in Roseburg history, just missing the record amount.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford said the Roseburg Regional Airport recorded .91 inches of rain on Monday. 1998 saw the most rain ever recorded on March 13th, when the airport got .95 inches of precipitation.

For March, Roseburg has received 2.11 inches of rain so far. That is .66 inches above normal. However, the area is still 4.83 inches behind the average amount of rain received for the water year. That designation covers October 1st through September 30th. On average, Roseburg gets 22.98 inches of rain between the start of the water year and this time in March. For the current water year, the airport has seen 18.15 inches of precipitation instead.
