A Roseburg man was jailed by Roseburg Police after he was seen allegedly drinking a beer early Tuesday.

An RPD report said at 12:10 a.m. officers contacted the 30-year old near the intersection of West Bertha Avenue and West Stanton Street due to a trespassing complaint. He was reportedly found drinking the beverage, which is in violation of his parole. The suspects parole officer was contacted and issued a detainer. The man was taken into custody without incident.

He was charged with the parole violation and cited for drinking in public. The man was held without bail.
