CITY COUNCIL MEETING INCLUDES EARLY WORK STUDY SESSION

March 13, 2023 3:30 a.m.

Monday night’s Roseburg City Council meeting will begin an hour early with a work study session at 6:00 p.m.

Councilors will get an update on the Roseburg Homeless Commission and discuss time, place and manner regulations regarding dealing with those who are unhoused. They will go over data from a recent survey on the topic which was available so community members could weigh in with their input.

During the regular meeting starting at 7:00 p.m., Mayor Larry Rich will proclaim March as Red Cross month.

Councilors will consider a request for a property tax exemption for Opportunity Council property on Sunshine Road. This is a 144-unit low income apartment complex.

The council will vote on ratifying a two-year agreement between the City of Roseburg and the Roseburg Police Employees Association. It is retroactive to July of last year and includes a 5 percent wage increase across the board, each year.
