CANYONVILLE MAN JAILED FOLLOWING TRAFFIC STOP

Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a Canyonville man following a traffic stop Wednesday night.

A DCSO report said just after 9:00 p.m. a deputy stopped the vehicle in the 300 block of Lawson Bar near Canyonville. The driver allegedly gave a false name but was eventually identified as 46-year old Robert Dumont. He was detained for failure to carry and present an operator’s license.

Dumont was taken into custody due to multiple warrants. He was also cited for providing false information to police, and for driving while suspended-violation. Bail was set at $15,000
