March 9, 2023 4:20 a.m.

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 10:00 p.m. Thursday evening through 4:00 p.m. Friday afternoon for central Douglas County and its eastern foothills, Josephine and Jackson counties and eastern Curry County.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said 1 to 4 inches of snow is expected with up to 1 foot in higher terrain. Winds will gust as high as 45 miles per hour.

The Advisory includes the communities of Toketee Falls, Butte Falls and Prospect and portions of highways 62, 227 and 138.

Forecasters said travel could be difficult and could impact the morning commute. Wet snow on tree branches combined with gusty winds could result in broken tree limbs.
