WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY BEGINS AT 4:00 P.M. TUESDAY

March 7, 2023 4:00 a.m.

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 4:00 p.m. Tuesday through 10:00 a.m. Wednesday above 1,500 feet in central Douglas County and Jackson County.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said 1 to 3 inches of snow is expected with higher amounts at higher remote elevations.

The Advisory area includes Camas Mountain, areas near and south of Canyonville, along with Jacksonville, Ashland, Butte Falls and Prospect.

Forecasters said travel could be very difficult. Hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.

Drivers should slow down and allow extra time to reach their destination. Carry tire chains and be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities.
