Roseburg School District is now accepting preschool applications for the 2023-24 school year.

Early Learning Facilitator Tatum Stedman said all families residing within the district boundaries are encouraged to apply for their child to be considered for placement in the program. Stedman said to be eligible, children must turn 4 years old on or before September 1st of this year. Families will receive notification about potential placements on or before June 9th.

Applications will remain open throughout the 2023-24 school year. After May 1st, applicants will be added to a waitlist. Those at the top of the waitlist will be contacted if slots become available.

Preschool is offered through the district at three sites. That includes Eastwood -in partnership with the Douglas Education Service District, along with Winchester and Green elementary schools. The program offers morning or afternoon sessions four days per week, with no school on Wednesdays. There is no cost to attend.
