TRANSIENT JAILED AFTER ALLEGED ELUDE INCIDENT

Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a transient following an alleged elude incident on Wednesday afternoon.

A DCSO report said just before 1:20 p.m. a deputy attempted to stop a vehicle for traffic violations in the 2000 block of Glendale Valley Road. The vehicle did not stop and a pursuit ensued. The vehicle was pursued to Wolf Creek where the driver finally stopped.

The driver and a passenger were taken into custody without incident. The driver, 23-year old Joshua Schrieber was charged with attempting to elude police, reckless driving and for reckless endangering. Bail was set at $2,000. The passenger was released at the scene without action.

The vehicle was towed.
