The Umpqua Valley Homebuilders Association Home and Garden Show is Friday through Sunday at the Douglas County Fairgrounds.

Over 100 experts will have booths on display. That includes builders, remodelers, landscapers and more. The event will feature speakers sharing information about a number of aspects of improving your home.

On Friday, those attending can visit all 6 sponsor booths and get their passport stamped for a chance to win a two-night stay in a fireside cabin at Diamond Lake Resort. The winner will be announced at the close of the show on Sunday.

Saturday, local schools will compete in a build off challenge. All furniture will be auctioned at the show. Proceeds raised will go back to each participating school. Saturday is also Family Day with a primary focus on reaching out to families looking for home and outdoor projects.

Sunday seniors over age 65 and all veterans are admitted for free.

The show takes place in both Douglas Hall and the Community Conference Hall at the fairgrounds. Event hours are:

*Friday 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

*Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

*Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Admission is $5 or $4 with 2 cans of food for Feeding Umpqua.
