A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 4:00 a.m. Saturday through 4:00 p.m. Sunday for Central Douglas County.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said 3 to 6 inches of snow is expected above 1,000 feet.

This includes Camas Valley, Tiller, Azalea, and portions of Interstate 5 and Highway 42.

Forecasters said snow levels will lower to about 500 feet in the overnight and early morning hours, then rise to about 1,500 feet in the afternoon. This will result in two periods of low elevation snow Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility.
