The Roseburg Police Department is continuing its investigation into a stabbing incident at the Roseburg Senior Center early Tuesday morning and has released an update.

Sergeant Daniel Allen said the victims in the case are all in stable condition and have non-life-threatening injuries. Information as to how many victims there are has not been released.

The incident happened while the building was being used as the Roseburg Warming Center. It led to an officer involved shooting which resulted in the death of the man who had been stabbing the victims

The Douglas County Major Crimes Team is continuing the investigation into the shooting. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is the lead investigating agency since the incident involved an officer from RPD. That person is on paid administrative leave, which is standard protocol for this type of case.
