WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY THURSDAY NIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. through Friday morning at 7:00 a.m. for much of southern Oregon.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches are forecast, with up to 4 inches above 1,500 feet.

The Advisory area includes central Douglas County, Josephine and Jackson counties, and eastern Curry County. It applies to highways 199, 42, Interstate 5 north of Grants Pass to Azalea, and south of Talent, Highway 62 east of Trail, Highway 38 near Jacksonville Hill and the eastern part of Highway 140. This includes the cities of Ashland, Talent, Gold Hill, Butte Falls, Prospect, Cave Junction, Glendale and Azalea.

Forecasters said travel could be very difficult. Hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.
