Snow in the Umpqua Valley Wednesday morning led to closures and delays.

Snow in many areas began at around 6:00 a.m. Only Glendale Schools were initially closed but as the morning went on, two-hour delays changed to closures for schools in Roseburg, Winston-Dillard, the South Umpqua School District, Riddle, Camas Valley and Days Creek. The entire Umpqua Community College campus is closed. UCAN Head Start classes were shuttered as well.

Reported snow amounts varied from up to an inch in parts of Roseburg, to over 3 inches in Melrose, nearly 6 inches in Camas Valley and over 8 inches in some rural areas of southern Douglas County.

Additional snow is expected through Thursday evening in the Roseburg area.
