The Roseburg City Council will interview applicants for the Planning Commission and will likely appoint one of them, as part of Monday night’s meeting.

Councilors will gather early at 5:45 p.m. to interview Matthew Keller, Emily Brandt, Jarrett Nielsen, Annie Hamilton and Ron Smicker. Commission member Victoria Hawks recently resigned her position. An appointment will be voted on during the regular meeting, which begins at 7:00 p.m.

Mayor Larry Rich will have a goal setting discussion and will review council rules and procedures. 3 of the 8 city councilors are new.

The council will vote on a resolution referring a ballot measure to voters in May. The measure has proposed amendments to the Roseburg City Charter. There will also be a vote on a resolution setting a new council reimbursement policy and amount.

Councilors will consider providing interim cash flow funding for the Off Street Parking Fund. Downtown parking enforcement continues to result in insufficient revenue for that fund.
