WIND ADVISORY THROUGH 4:00 P.M. TUESDAY

A Wind Advisory remains in effect through Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. for parts of central Douglas County and surrounding areas.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said south winds of 25 to 35 miles per hour with gusts to 55 miles per hour are expected. Wind gusts of 55 to 75 miles per hour are likely across the higher terrain.

The Advisory area also includes the eastern Douglas County foothills, Josephine county and eastern Curry County. It applies to portions of Highways 199, 138, 38 and Interstate 5.

Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Travel will be difficult especially for high-profile vehicles.
