WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA HAPPENING SATURDAY

Wreaths Across America will hold a ceremony Saturday at 12:00 p.m. at the Roseburg National Cemetery Annex, on the grounds of the Roseburg VA, not the original location on West Harvard Avenue.

Organizers say that 1035 wreaths will be placed, between both locations.

Its part of a nationwide remembrance as over 2.4 million wreaths will be placed at over 3,600 locations across the country. The organizations motto is: Remember the Fallen, Honor all who serve, and Teach the next generation the value of Freedom.

The ceremony will include the posting of the colors, an invocation and benediction, pledge of allegiance, a presentation by Retired Navy Chief Warrant Officer Jim Little, the playing of Amazing Grace by combat veteran Joshua Frasier on the bagpipes and more. It will be followed by volunteers placing wreaths on the graves of the nation’s veterans.
