AIR STAGNATION ADVISORY EXTENDED THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT

December 18, 2022 4:20 a.m.

An Air Stagnation Advisory has been extended through 10:00 p.m. Sunday for the valleys of southwest and south-central Oregon.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said stagnant air is expected to continue, with light winds. This is likely to lead to deteriorating air quality, especially in and near areas with significant sources of air pollution. It is likely to cause health issues for people with respiratory problems if precautions are not taken.

State air quality agencies highly recommend that no outdoor burning occur and that residential wood burning devices be limited as much as possible.
