UMPQUA HEALTH ADDS TWO MEMBERS TO LEADERSHIP TEAM

Umpqua Health is announcing the addition of two members to its leadership team.

A release said Dr. Phillip Greger is the new chief medical officer, tasked with ensuring safe and effective medical services are available to UHA’s members. Julie Landry, UPH, is the new vice president of health systems performance and is accountable for the operations including transformation, community engagement, healthy equity and software development. Doctor F. Douglas Carr, has resumed his role as medical director as part of the planned leadership succession at Umpqua Health.

Umpqua Health CEO Brent Eichman said, “It is our privilege to welcome these new members to our team, who are both exceptionally well qualified to help drive forward our mission of expanding access, increasing quality and improving the health of the community”. Eichman said both will be “…outstanding additions to Umpqua Health and the Douglas County community”.

The release said Dr. Greger was the medical director for care coordination at Banner University Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona and previously had a private practice in The Woodlands, Texas.

Landry most recently worked at a population health and analytics firm in Boston, consulting on health strategies for over a dozen major health systems and plans across the United States.

Dr. F. Douglas Carr joined Umpqua Health in 2017 as the medical director and became the chief medical officer in 2018. He has had a variety of experience in the western U.S. including leadership roles at PeaceHealth Medical Group and the Eugene VA Healthcare Center and 24 years at Billings Clinic in Montana.

Umpqua Health is the parent company of Umpqua Health Alliance, one of 16 Oregon coordinated care organizations serving the Oregon Health Plan. It is based in Roseburg.
