GOVERNOR-ELECT KOTEK DELIVERS KEYNOTE ADDRESS, ANNOUNCES LISTENING TOUR

On Monday, Governor-elect Tina Kotek delivered the keynote address at the Oregon Business Council’s 20th annual Oregon Leadership Summit.

A release said Kotek emphasized her commitment to focus on issues of shared concern across the state: housing and homelessness, access to mental health and addiction treatment, and successful schools.

Kotek said her framework for turning things around to deliver results in her first year in office include:

*Building trust across Oregon

*Increasing accountability and oversight in state government to improve customer service

*Encouraging new and more robust intergovernmental and private sector partnerships

Kotek said in order to build trust across Oregon, she will have a “One Oregon” listening tour and will visit every county in Oregon within her first year in office. It will begin in Yamhill and Douglas counties before the governor-elect is inaugurated on January 9th with more locations and dates to be announced at a later time.

The time and location for the Douglas County event has not yet been released.
