Winston Police jailed a man after an alleged assault incident on Friday.

A WPD report said just before 3:00 p.m. officers were dispatched to a physical disturbance in the 100 block of Northwest Bree Drive. An officer arrived on the scene and learned than two men were in a fight and one was bleeding from the forehead.

The report said the suspect had allegedly hit the other man in the head with a socket wrench. The victim refused medical treatment. The 24-year old was charged with assault in the second-degree and for harassment. He was detained without bail.
