A Wind Advisory is in effect through 4:00 a.m. Saturday for parts of southern Oregon.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said southeast winds of 20 to 30 miles per hour with gusts up to 50 miles per hour are expected.

The Advisory area includes the central portion and eastern foothills of Douglas County, Josephine County and eastern Curry County. It applies to some higher terrain areas above 1,500 feet, including passes on Interstate Five between Grants Pass and Canyonville along with portions of Highway 42 and Highway 138.

Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Use extra caution when driving, especially with operating a high-profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
