POLICE JAIL MAN FOR ALLEGED DISORDERLY CONDUCT

Roseburg Police jailed a man for alleged disorderly conduct, following an incident early Sunday.

An RPD report said at 12:15 a.m. officers responded to the 2400 block of Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard after a caller said a man was trying to drive away intoxicated. A disturbance ensued between the man and a victim resulting in the man allegedly ripping the purse away from the woman. The suspect was described as being “highly intoxicated” and confrontational, but was taken into custody without incident.

He was charged with second-degree disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $2,500.
