RAIN LEADS TO FREEWAY CRASH WEDNESDAY

December 2, 2022 3:10 a.m.

Rain led to a crash on Interstate Five Wednesday morning.

An Oregon State Police report said just before 11:00 a.m. the driver of a sedan lost control of her vehicle while traveling northbound about a half-mile north of the summit of Roberts Mountain. The woman said she was in the left lane when her vehicle hydroplaned, crashing into the concrete barrier and then crossing both northbound lanes before hitting the guardrail.

No one was hurt but there was damage to multiple guardrail panels and posts. The vehicle had to be towed away.
