Roseburg Police jailed a man for a prior alleged menacing incident, on Wednesday.

An RPD report said at about 9:00 p.m. an officer located a pickup owned by the suspect at a business in the 2000 block of Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard. The officer knew that probable cause existed to arrest the 32-year old for menacing.

The report said the original incident took place August 24th when the suspect allegedly pointed what appeared to be a firearm with a “red dot” at a female in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 1600 block of Northeast Vine Street.

Officers were able to take the man into custody without incident. He was charged with menacing and second-degree disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $10,000. The man was released on Thursday.
