3RD ANNUAL DCSO CHRISTMAS CARD DRAWING CONTEST

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is hosting the 3rd annual Christmas Card Drawing Contest for local children.

Lieutenant Brad O’Dell said one winner from each of the eligibility groups will be selected as the artist for the official DCSO 2022 Christmas Card. It is divided up for children in:

*Grades Pre-K to 2nd grade

*Grades 3rd through 5th

*Grades 6th through 8th

O’Dell said participants should create an original hand drawn entry on a contest drawing page or on an 8.5 x 11-inch sheet of unlined, white paper. Drawings may be dropped off at the Sheriff’s Office at the courthouse. The submission deadline is December 11th. Mailed entries must be postmarked by that date while drawings that are emailed must be received by that date at 5:00 p.m.

O’Dell said artwork will be judged on originality, creativity and concept related to the theme. The winners will be selected by the Sheriff’s Office staff.
