A Roseburg man was taken to the hospital after an injury traffic crash on Sunday.

A report from Roseburg Police said just before 11:00 a.m. officers responded to the corner of West Harvard Avenue and West Fairhaven Street, where they observed a pickup overturned in the eastbound lane of Harvard. The officers contacted both drivers and determined that the driver of a sedan performed a dangerous left turn after leaving a business.

In an effort to avoid a collision, the second driver swerved and his vehicle was hit, causing the pickup to overturn onto its passenger’s side. The driver was extracted from the truck. He was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center due to neck pain. He was treated and released, according to a hospital spokesperson.

The first driver was cited for making a dangerous left turn. He was able to drive his vehicle from the scene.
