AIR STAGNATION ADVISORY THROUGH FRIDAY NIGHT

November 22, 2022 4:00 a.m.

An Air Stagnation Advisory remains in place through 10:00 p.m. Friday for central Douglas County and surrounding areas.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said stagnant air is expected, which may lead to deteriorating air quality.

The Advisory area also includes Josephine and Jackson counties and eastern Curry County. Forecasters said diminished air quality is likely to cause health issues for people with respiratory problems if precautions are not taken. Only slight improvement is expected Tuesday as a weather front moves through the area.

People with respiratory illness should follow their physician’s advice for dealing with diminished air quality. State air quality agencies highly recommend that no outdoor burning occur and that residential wood burning devices be limited as much as possible.
