COMMISSIONERS ISSUE PROCLAMATION FOR RURAL HEALTH DAY

Douglas County Commissioners Tim Freeman, Chris Boice and Tom Kress issued a proclamation at their weekly business meeting on Wednesday, calling upon all county residents to observe National Rural Health Day, which is celebrated every third Thursday in November.

Commissioner Kress issued proclamation certificates to various organizations in the community that promote healthy living and provide health care services to rural communities.

Following the proclamation presentation, the commissioners acknowledged Dr. Bob Dannenhoffer, Douglas County Public Health Officer, for recently being selected as the 2022 Oregon Rural Health Hero of the Year from the Oregon Office of Rural Health, which is a division of Oregon Health Sciences University.
