Four people were hospitalized after a vehicle crashed into a Roseburg restaurant on Tuesday afternoon.

A Roseburg Police report said at 3:30 p.m. officers responded to Seven Thai Restaurant in the 700 block of Northeast Garden Valley Boulevard where a minivan had crashed through a large window and gone all the way into the dining area of the business.

Officers spoke with the driver, a 94-year old Glide woman, and learned that her foot slipped off of the brake pedal and onto the gas pedal and she was unable to get her foot back on the brake. Video footage showed the minivan crash through the window and go into the dining area. Once inside it continued, hitting multiple individuals, tables and an inside wall. The vehicle clearly peeled out inside the dining area. A Roseburg Fire Department report said two of those hit, were trapped under the vehicle.

Three of those were hospitalized at CHI Mercy Medical Center and then released. The fourth, a Roseburg woman, was transferred to Peace Health Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend in Springfield. Her condition was not available, according to a hospital spokesperson.

The motorist was cited for careless driving and given a courtesy ride home. Her minivan was removed from the restaurant and towed away.
