A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect for central Douglas County through 8:00 a.m. Wednesday.

An Urgent Weather Message from the National Weather Service said visibility of a quarter of a mile or less in dense fog is expected. This includes Roseburg, Sutherlin, Elkton, Yoncalla and Canyonville.

Driving conditions are hazardous due to low visibility. Areas of freezing fog may also cause slippery conditions on sidewalks and roadways.

Those driving should slow down, use their headlights and leave plenty of distance between their vehicle and the one in front of it.
