Umpqua Actors Community Theatre will open its production of “Humbug” on December 1st.

An upbeat and moving adaptation of the Dickens Holiday classic, the script tells the story of Elenore Scrooge, an intimidating Wall Street executive whose lust for money and stature left her cold, hard and disillusioned to anyone who stands in her way.

Directed by Melody Schwegel, the production will take place Thursdays through Saturday nights at 7:00 p.m. with a Sunday matinee at 2:00 p.m. December 1st through the 11th. The final week’s shows will be Friday and Saturday night and on Sunday with no Thursday show. That is for December 16th through 18th.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children. Purchase tickets by going to: www.uact-theatre.com
