House Republican Leader Vikki Breese-Iverson has released a statement on the 2022 state House legislative races.

Breese-Iverson said, “The results of the midterm election indicate that Republicans have managed to break the supermajority held by Democrats in Salem, which is a huge victory and will bring much needed balance to our legislature”. Breese-Iverson said it is clear that Oregonians voted for change this election cycle. She said that several races are still very close – within a few hundred votes – in districts where Democrats out register Republicans by up to 14 points.

Breese-Iverson said, “We are optimistic about races that have not yet been called, but we plan to wait until every single legal vote is counted to declare the final results for our Republican state legislature candidates”.
