LOCAL COVID-19 CASES DROP 13 PERCENT IN LAST WEEK

COVID-19 cases have declined 13 percent in Douglas County, in the week ending on Wednesday.

An update from the Douglas Public Health Network said 59 cases of the virus were reported in the past seven days. That is down from 68 cases reported in the previous week.

Two people have died related to the virus in the last week.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in January of 2020, 438 local residents have died related to COVID-19. 24,853 cases of the virus have been reported.
