A driver swerved to miss a deer but instead her vehicle struck a concrete barrier on Interstate 5 early Wednesday morning.

An Oregon State Police report said just after 2:30 a.m. the vehicle was northbound halfway between Winchester and Sutherlin when the wreck took place. There was significant damage to both the front end of the car and to the divider.

The vehicle was towed from the scene.
