COUNTY GOVERNMENT OFFICES CLOSED FRIDAY

County Commissioners Tim Freeman, Chris Boice and Tom Kress would like to remind residents that government offices at the courthouse, justice building, courthouse annex in Reedsport, transfer stations, fairgrounds and all external government offices will be closed to the public this Friday in observance of the Veterans Day Holiday.

A release said while the offices will not be open, many officials and public employees are still working.

Closure exceptions include:

*The Douglas County Museum and the Umpqua River Lighthouse Museum will be open Friday for normal business hours

*All county operated parks, campgrounds and boat ramps will continue to be open and accessible while the Parks Office will be closed

*Sheriff’s deputies, 911 communications and Sheriff’s Office staff will continue to provide law enforcement protection and emergency assistance for residents. Those with an emergency can still call 911.
