Troopers with the Oregon State Police jailed a man after he allegedly fired gunshots at a driver on Interstate Five Monday evening.

An OSP report said the driver of a pickup said he was being shot at by the passenger in the sedan, while traveling south on Interstate 5 between Scotts Valley and the Yoncalla/Drain exit just after 7:00 p.m. An investigation revealed that 30-year old Abdul Blair fired two rounds at the driver then threw the gun out of the moving car, before being stopped about a mile north of Sutherlin. Blair was jailed after being taken to CHI Mercy Medical Center as he had allegedly ingested a controlled substance.

Blair was charged with recklessly endangering another person, unlawful use of a weapon, being a felon in possession of a firearm, menacing, for violating a no contact order and for a warrant. He was jailed on $10,000 bail.
