WINTER STORM WARNING/ADVISORY THROUGH 4:00 A.M. MONDAY

November 6, 2022 4:30 p.m. 

A Winter Storm Warning and a Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect through 4:00 a.m. Monday for mountain areas in southern Oregon.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said the Warning area includes portions of the South-Central Oregon Cascades including Crater Lake and Diamond Lake, portions of Highways 62, 138, and 230. The Advisory area includes the rest of the Southern Oregon Cascades and a portion of the Siskiyous to include Interstate 5 at the Siskiyou Summit, Highway 140 in and around Lake of the Woods, Highway 66 and Highway 58 including Willamette Pass and Crescent Lake.

Forecasters said travel could be very difficult. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. Snowfall levels could approach an inch an hour at times. Travel is strongly discouraged due to dangerous conditions. Those who must travel should have tire chains, a flashlight, blankets, food, water, medications, and a fully charged phone.
