November 2, 2022 5:30 a.m.

A Winter Weather Advisory continues through 5:00 p.m. Wednesday for mountain areas in portions of southern Oregon.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said the Advisory area includes Crater Lake, Diamond Lake, the South Central and Southern Oregon Cascades and Siskiyou Mountains, and for portions of the highways in those areas.

Snow showers with an additional 3 to 7 inches are expected.

Forecasters said travel could be difficult in these areas. Drivers should slow down and allow extra time to reach their destination. Carry tire chains and be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities.
