WINTER WEATHER IN MOUNTAIN AREAS STARTING MONDAY NIGHT

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 8:00 p.m. Monday through 5:00 p.m. Wednesday for the south central and southern Oregon Cascades and Siskiyou Mountains.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said wet snow is expected, especially above 4,000 feet. 6 to 10 inches are forecast.

The Advisory area includes Crater Lake, Diamond Lake, and portions of Highways 62,  230, 138 and 58.

Drivers should plan on slippery road conditions. Snow levels are slated to start out at around 6,000 feet, lowering to around 4,500 feet Tuesday morning, then to 4,000 feet on Tuesday afternoon.
