Progress continues on the construction of a Chipotle Mexican Grill in Roseburg, with the hiring of staff underway.

The national chain, based in Newport Bay, California, started construction on the 2,325 square foot store several months ago, after the building that had housed Loggers Pizza for nine years, was demolished. It is located in the Roseburg Marketplace on Northwest Stewart Parkway, just north of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard.

Sally Evans from Chipotle’s communications staff told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that the new outlet will open this winter, though she did not provide a more specific timeline. Evans said there is an average of 25 jobs at each Chipotle, which is considered to be one of the first “fast casual” dining chains in the country.

Evans said the company offers competitive benefits for those hired, including:

*A crew bonus with the opportunity to earn an extra month’s worth of pay each year

*A debt-free college degree program + English as a second language

*Access to mental healthcare for employees and their families
