DCSO SEEKING MISSING COUPLE

Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office are conducting a missing persons investigation into the whereabouts of a California couple known to have been passing through the county.

Lieutenant Brad O’Dell said Charles and Kathleen Waller were known to have been in the Glide area on or about October 23rd. Charles, age 81, and Kathleen, age 79, were reportedly driving to their home in Boulder Creek, California in a 2017 Ford Four Winds motorhome with California license plate 8HWX240.

O’Dell said the couple are typically in communication with family members on a daily basis but have not been heard since October 23rd. On that date, they said they were approximately 45 miles north of the Oregon-California border. Their cellular phones are currently powered off and no one has been able to reach them since.

Charles Waller is described as being a white male who is 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 207 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes. Kathleen Waller is described as being a white female who is 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 190 pounds, with gray hair and blue eyes.
