WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY THROUGH EARLY SUNDAY MORNING

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect through 5:00 a.m. Sunday for the south central and southern Oregon Cascades and Siskiyou Mountains.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said wet snow above 5,000 feet is expected. 4 to 8 inches of snow with winds gusting up to 40 miles per hour is forecast.

Snow levels will lower to around 4,000 feet with accumulations still possible above 5,000 feet.

Drivers should slow down and allow extra time to reach their destination. Carry tire chains and be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities.
