COVID-19 CASES DROP 14 PERCENT IN COUNTY

COVID-19 cases have dropped 14 percent in Douglas County in the week ending Wednesday.

Information from the Douglas Public Health Network said 86 cases of the virus were reported in the past seven days, compared to 100 in the previous week. One person died related to COVID-19 in the past week. DPHN Public Information Officer Vanessa Becker said the death was a woman in her 90’s.

Becker said hospitalizations related to the virus have ranged from 5 to 8 per day. Becker said 8 people were hospitalized related to COVID-19 on Wednesday.

Since the pandemic began, 435 people have died related to COVID-19 in the county. 24,621 cases of the virus have been reported.
