Adapt Integrated Health Care will serve as a research site for medication monitoring system research.
Communications Director Grey Garris said Adapt will collaborate with Sonara Health and Oregon Health and Science University. Garris said Adapt’s Roseburg Opiod Treatment Program will serve as a research site for Sonara’s web application that hopes to expand access to take-home methadone medication.
A release said the goal of this research is to validate prior findings on the value of this service to both clients and providers. This focuses on determining the efficacy of this service in reducing barriers to potentially life-saving treatment for opioid use disorder especially for rural areas where treatment services are often hard to reach, through an asynchronous approach to care.
