One person was jailed and one was cited following an alleged DUII crash on Saturday night.

A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at approximately 7:50 p.m. units responded to the 2000 block of Bilger Creek Road in the Myrtle Creek area after a caller said there had been an injury crash.

Upon arriving, a deputy contacted three women. One was on the ground being treated by medical personnel and was later transported to Rogue Regional Medical Center in Medford for suspected minor injuries. The driver claimed she swerved to miss a cat in the road which caused the crash. The deputy noticed signs of impairment. The woman consented to standard field sobriety tests and performed poorly. She was taken to jail where she provided a breath sample which registered a blood alcohol level of .07. She was cited for DUII and reckless driving and was released to a sober adult.

During the investigation, the third woman said that all three occupants were leaving a residence after they had been invited over to drink alcohol. The woman admitted she was not supposed to have contact with the person at the home because she had recently been arrested for menacing and a no-contact release agreement was in place. The agreement was confirmed and the woman was jailed for the violation. She was held without bail.
