A transient was jailed following an alleged trespass incident in Camas Valley on Tuesday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said just before 7:00 p.m. a caller indicated that 38-year old Shaune Meilike was at a victim’s residence in the 17000 block of Highway 42. Dispatch confirmed that the suspect was restrained from this address as well as from another nearby address.

Meilike was verbally defiant at first, but the report said he “…became entirely cooperative once K9 Ozzy was introduced to the equation”. He was then taken into custody.

Meilike was charged with second-degree criminal trespass, three counts of violation of a restraining order and for a parole violation. He was held without bail.
